Kelly Aldridge is a contemporary artist in Dallas, TX. Self taught after first picking up a paint brush over 18 years ago. Influenced by scale, high impact texture and high contrast - her work is powerful and commands a room. She’s been working with texture since the beginning of her journey in art. She’s mostly inspired by fashion, interior design as well as street art. Her paintings are high impact texture with a sense of glamour and edge - making her paintings feel high fashion. Some of her work has a “less is more” approach as many things in life, simplicity and knowing when to stop is valuable. She’s drawn to minimalism and balance in her life overall which also reflects in much of her work. “Live well” is her life motto and a part of living well is in the act of creating. Beautiful things take up space much like a perfectly balanced painting in its size, composition and detail. Her paintings are collected globally.
